TOP: Shock absorber and CML front axle torque-limiting
cable. The shock absorbers are of the friction type with a grease-filled
brass band clamped between the spring-loaded, cast iron inner
ring and the steel outer ring. Competition Motors will clean,
lubricate and set your shock absorbers for optimum performance.
The Competition Motors front axle torque-limiting cable prevents
the brakes from chattering during hard application.
BOTTOM LEFT:Tie rod end. Competition Motors is capable
of replacing the worn-out integral ball ends on the steering
arms without welding them or weakening the original assembly.
We also manufacture new bronze "pucks" and size them to eliminate
the original internal springs that cause excessive pressure
and wear.
BELOW RIGHT: Typical Bugatti mechanical brake, backing
plate and spindle assembly. Competition Motors rebuilds and
restores all types of front end components. Our in-house machine
shop can manufacture any kingpin and bushing combination. We
have our brake shoes relined with brake drum-friendly, high
performance, non-woven, carbon fiber material that we machine
to match the brake drum diameters. |
